We've looked at your positions for a very small number of terms but they will reflect the wider picture. What they show is you're doing pretty well, which we're sure you already know, but there is room for improvement. Page titles and Headings represent the biggest opportunity and we would recommend that you look to ensure that every page has unique, keyword rich Page Titles, h1s and H2s. It appears that you have a duplicate h2 appearing on almost every page too which should also get some attention.

Using the heading structure we've provided, we would suggest reviewing all of your pages and looking to implement better headings across the site. You should also look at your link anchor text and make sure that your highest value, or most important pages are linked to as many times as you can.

Overall the site is one of the better ones that we've reviewed and the fact you have so much content puts you in a good position. It's just a case of going through and following best practices to do a bit better.

Finally, getting links from others to you website will make a huge difference and we'd suggest you look for opportunities to get those, whether they are from partners, suppliers or customers.

We hope that you find this report and the information provided useful. If you are interested in having us implement the fixes we've recommended then please let us know and we can provide you with a quote.

Introduction

The performance of your website in organic search engines depends on many factors, both on your site and off of it. This report looks to highlight some of the key issues and opportunities in relation to your on site SEO. Often companies don’t realise how much can be gained by making sure the configuration of the website is done to best practices.

We’ve broken this report down into key sections about your website, detailing the areas that affect positions in search the most.

Positions

We’ve checked your positions in Google for some keywords that we think are relevant to your business. This isn’t an extensive list of terms, you may hold positions for other things, but it gives us a starting point for this report. Where the report has a dash (-) it means that the site is outside of the top 100 for that term.

Your Google Positions:

Page Titles (Aka Meta Titles)

One of the the most important onsite SEO elements, the Page Title should be keyword rich with the highest value keywords as close to the start as possible. It’s the blue text you see in search results, it also appears in your tabs at the top of your browser and is often the text used when sharing a page on social media. Every Page Title should be unique and make maximum use of the 50-60 character space available.

Headings & Page Structure

Headings are often thought of merely as styling for text on websites, while partly true, they also provide structure to the page for both Google and users. Each page should have a single h1 and then be broken down with h2s, h3s and so on.

Headings should be unique and include plenty of targetted keywords.

Heading (H1) - Page Heading - unique to the page

Paragraph text. Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean.

Heading (H2) - Section of Page

Paragraph text. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth..

Heading (H3)- Sub Section of Heading 2

Paragraph text. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar.

Heading (H3) - Sub Section of Heading 2

Paragraph text. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Heading (H2) - Section of Page

Paragraph text. When she reached the first hills of the Italic Mountains, she had a last view back on the skyline of her hometown Bookmarksgrove, the headline of Alphabet Village and the subline of her own road, the Line Lane.

URL Format

Including keywords in URLs (page addresses) helps both the user and Google understand what a page is about. It is always good to include keywords to maximise the opportunity.

Your URLs:

Does your website have keywords in URLs?
Yes
Does your website have keywords in URLs?
No

Keywords are appearing often in the URLs of the website which is excellent. One suggestion would be that it would be good to try and group URLs into folders or directories. At the moment it appears that most of the pages come straight off of the homepage i.e. https://www.gdphotographer.co.uk/wedding-professionals-in-southend-on-sea/. If you could put things that are similar into logical groups it would help Google and the users understand the structure of the site. We appreciate though this is potentially a big job with a lot of redirection.

Images

Optimisation of images is often overlooked in respect to website SEO but it can play an important role. All images loaded to the site should have a good descriptive file name and include alt text, which helps search engines understand what the image is and also helps people with accessibility issues.

Your Images:

Are the images on your website optimised?
Yes
Are the images on your website optimised?
No

90% of your images have alt text which is great, especially as it is an image heavy website. We'd suggest that you look to try to improve some of your file names though as some of them are the standard filename from a camera output.

Amount of content

The amount of written content you have on your website directly impacts the positions you hold in Google, the more content you have the more opportunity there is. Best practice is for each page to have 500-1000 words of optimised content.

Your Content:

Does your website have enough content?
Yes
Does your website have enough content?
No

The amount of content you have on the site is excellent, you have obviously considered your SEO strategy and are systematically documenting the locations that you visit. There could be a bit more of the written word, especially on key pages but overall you've done a good job.

Mobile

Google is now crawling websites in their mobile form, rather than desktop. What this means is that if your website doesn’t work well on mobile or hides content, you will be penalised in their results.

Your Mobile Website:

Does your website work well on mobile?
Yes
Does your website work well on mobile?
No

The site works well on mobile. Please be aware that there is an error on the homepage when you visit on mobile however. Some of the Wordpress Theme's code is visable. We visited with Google Chrome on a Samsung device.

Speed

The speed that your website loads for users impacts both your positions in search and also the user experience. We are always aiming for websites to load within 2-6 seconds. There are occasions where slower is acceptable but if you want to keep people on the site this is by enlarge what you should be aiming for.

Security

Having a secure site is vital for many reasons but especially so since modern web browsers point out to users when a site isn’t secure. All websites should have an SSL certification and sit on https rather than http.

Your Website Security:

Does your website have an SSL Certificate?
Yes
Does your website have an SSL Certificate?
No
